As the Onset Tailor, I’m typically brought in on the day of the photoshoot or filming day. I fit and tailor the models or cast before the remaining crew is called in that morning. I set up a mobile workshop onset, backstage or in the dressing room and sew the necessary alterations, in record time! This reduces costs and logistics for the production company, avoiding prep days and hotel fees the day before. My talent steps into their looks with the confidence that their garments fit well (albeit with some speedy tailoring trickery but) ready for their performance looking a million dollars for the cameras.
The thrill is seeing the press coverage of the stars in their wears, as early as that same evening!
