Backstage with cast and crew (Film/TV/ Opera/ Ballet)
I am often a black sheep in the Wardrobe department team, as an Assistant or as a Dresser – because I’m often the only one who can also sew too! Along with helping to organise the cast and their costume, there have been some pretty exciting emergency sewing moments to juggle. I have sewn up huge rips in costumes in the wings of the stage in seconds, held bite lights between my teeth repairing in the dark and invented on the spot inventions for stand-ins as the show has to go on!
